Born on 17th February 1963 in Ibadan to the family of Layi and Biodun Ayanniyi (nee Oloko). A native of Ibadan, Dolapo attended Eleyele private school and United Missionary School for her primary education.

In 1973, she proceeded to Yejide Girls grammar school for her secondary education and by 1978, she did her higher school at the federal government girls’ college (FGGC) Oyo.

She studied English language at the University of Lagos and graduated in 1983. Her national youth service Corp was at NTA Ibadan in 1984.

Married to Bishop T.V. Adelakun. She is an associate pastor at victory int'l church, Rehoboth cathedral, worldwide with headquarters at Oluyole estate extension. Ibadan. Oyo state. Nigeria.

She got born again on the 16th of February, 1987 at the full Gospel Businessmen Fellowship, premier hotel, Ibadan. Three months after salvation, she was healed of a 24 year old heart condition.

She oversees the Palace Pillars Fellowship; a forum for women in their ministry all over.

A teacher of God's word, she teaches with so much simplicity and insight. A down to earth practitioner of God's word.

A prolific writer. She has written on diverse topics of Christian living which has blessed so many around the world.

She is the convener of Dolapo Adelakun mentoring ministry aka damsel. A school of ministry for women and young ladies. The school has had its touch in Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda, Dubai, Houston, Holland, London and different parts of Nigeria.

She is also the director of schools overseeing their mission schools scattered in 12 states in Nigeria. She has a Montessori certification.

Pastor Dolapo is the current pro-chancellor of the Dominion University, Ibadan

A woman of many parts and a silent achiever. In pursuit of her faith, she attended the bible school for discipleship and missions, Azusa ministerial institute, school of kingdom success.

She is currently running her PhD program.

She is blessed with two boys: David and Joshua
